Star Wars Action Figure Retail Display Header Card (Kenner, 1977). As Kenner launched its groundbreaking Star Wars action figure line in 1978, retailers received promotional display materials to help introduce children (and their parents) to the very first 12 figures. This header card, dated 1977, was designed to top in-store display units and features portraits of the original "12-Back" cast: Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi, See-Threepio (C-3PO), Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2), Stormtrooper, Jawa, Sand People, and Death Squad Commander. Alongside the lineup are bold promises of "authentic costumes" and "movable arms and legs for great action poses." A seminal piece of Star Wars merchandising history, this header card stands as an early herald of Kenner's "12-Back" revolution - the start of a toy line that forever changed the galaxy of collecting.

More Information: The card shows surface wear, edge wear, and faint creasing consistent with its use in stores, with tape residue visible on the reverse from original mounting. Still, the front remains vibrant, with strong color to the classic Kenner design.
