Wanted: Dead or Alive Josh Randall Action Figure with Original Box (Hartland, 1959). Produced by Hartland in 1959, this Josh Randall action figure is based on the television series Wanted: Dead or Alive, starring Steve McQueen in the title role. The figure depicts Randall in his on-screen frontier attire and reflects Hartland's late-1950s approach to character-based figures, combining solid sculpting with a straightforward, durable format. Hartland's television tie-ins from this period occupy an important place in early character merchandising, bridging the gap between traditional play figures and licensed media properties. This example is accompanied by its original box and retains the "Official" hang tag, an element often absent from surviving examples.
