Produced by Matchbox under license, this release focused on delivering the iconic combined look of Voltron without the need for transformation, featuring articulated elements and die-cast components that emphasized durability and playability. As part of the early wave of Voltron merchandise tied to the animated series, it reflects the brand's rapid expansion into multiple formats, bringing the unmistakable silhouette of the defender of the universe to a smaller, more accessible scale. The box shows significant wear to the edges with scuffing and dents, along with moderate wear to the corners, including a soft upper left corner.
