Description

Universal Monsters The Mummy/Dracula Wallet (Universal, 1964). Issued in 1964 under official license from Universal Pictures, this vinyl monster wallet is part of the wave of monster merchandising that swept through dime stores and drugstore aisles during the early '60s. The bifold design features vivid full-color artwork of The Mummy on one side and Dracula on the other, pairing two of Universal's most enduring horror icons in bold, high-contrast style. Inside, the wallet includes themed inserts such as a Broom Stick Air Lines travel pass, capturing the playful, slightly macabre novelty items that made these a favorite among kids of the era. The wallet shows moderate wear consistent with age, including surface scuffing and edge wear to the exterior, with some handling wear to the printed artwork. The strap and snap closure remain intact, and the interior is structurally sound with inserts present. The member cards included have a handwritten name in the signature lines, and one of the plastic card holders has split along the lower edge. The stylus and pad are well-used, but present. A vivid slice of early monster mania, this pocket-sized piece delivers classic horror with a dash of midcentury mischief.
