The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Napoleon Solo & Illya Kuryakin 12-Inch Action Figures with Accessory Sets Lot of 4 (Gilbert, 1965). A rare pairing of A.C. Gilbert's ambitious spy-era action figures, inspired by The Man from U.N.C.L.E., NBC's stylish answer to the James Bond craze. This lot includes boxed examples of Napoleon Solo (Robert Vaughn) and Illya Kuryakin (David McCallum), each featuring their original clothing, cap-firing pistols, instruction sheets, and U.N.C.L.E. identification badges. The packaging shows general shelf and age wear with scuffing, tape residue, edge wear, corner crushing, and significant creasing. Overall, though, the pieces retain their strong color and visual appeal. Both figures remain complete with original outfits and accessories. Also included are two carded accessory packs, each sealed on original backing cards: one with a cap-firing Tommy Gun and grenade belt, and the other featuring binoculars and a sniper rifle. The cards display mild curling and scuffing, but the contents remain bright and unopened. Together, these figures and accessories represent one of the finest early examples of espionage merchandising from the 1960s television boom. Gilbert's Man from U.N.C.L.E. line blended Cold War gadgetry with sophisticated adventure-a perfect reflection of the era's fascination with suave secret agents and their cutting-edge toys.
