Space: 1999 Adventure Playset - Open Box (Amsco, 1975). Produced in 1975 through Amsco, a Milton Bradley company, this Space: 1999 Adventure Playset translates Moonbase Alpha into a large cardboard environment complete with Eagles, moonbuggy, astronauts, and alien figures. Like Amsco's other oversized adventure sets of the period, it was an ambitious attempt to turn a television property into a buildable display world, and in this case, it drew directly from one of 70s science fiction's most distinctive cult series. The box shows moderate overall wear, with scuffing, crushing, creasing, and moderate wear to the edges and corners. The contents appear unused in the open box. Moonbase Alpha never lacked atmosphere, and even in cardboard form, this playset brings a good bit of that 1970s sci-fi charm with it.
