Description

SilverHawks Bluegrass, Condor, & Windhammer (Kenner, 1986-87). Released during the height of Kenner's SilverHawks line, Bluegrass, Condor, and Windhammer represent three very different expressions of the series' design philosophy. Bluegrass stands out as one of the line's most unconventional heroes, a cosmic cowboy whose Western styling was filtered through futuristic armor. Condor appears as a humanoid criminal enforcer aligned with Mon*Star's gang, while Windhammer brings a more monstrous presence to the lineup, emphasizing brute strength and exaggerated creature design. Together, they showcase the range of character types that made SilverHawks visually striking on the shelf. Condition across the lot reflects overall moderate wear, with variation from package to package. The cardbacks show moderate scuffing, dents, soft corners, along with creasing, veining, and curling. The bubbles exhibit moderate scuffing and crushing. Windhammer's bubble shows early stages of yellowing, while Condor's is beginning to lift along the top edge; though figures remain unused and sealed on their cards. As a grouping, this lot taps into the high-concept energy that defined SilverHawks, where metallic finishes, outsized personalities, and toy-forward design took precedence over subtlety. Seeing these characters together evokes the kind of late-1980s sci-fi spectacle that once dominated animation blocks and toy aisles alike. For collectors who gravitate toward bold Kenner originals and the unmistakable look of the SilverHawks universe, this trio delivers that era's attitude in concentrated form.
