Description
Sears Allstate American Patrol Playset #6007 with Original Instructions - Open Box (Marx, 1960s). This Sears Allstate American Patrol Playset was manufactured by Louis Marx & Co. and sold through Sears, Roebuck & Co. during the 1960s under the retailer's Allstate house brand. The set centers on a World War II theme, presenting opposing U.S. and German forces within a large-format boxed battlefield environment. As with other Sears-Marx collaborations of the period, the playset was issued in substantial cardboard packaging and contained an extensive assortment of figures, vehicles, artillery, and accessories. This example includes the original instruction sheet. The box shows significant wear overall, with heavy scuffing, denting, and tearing along the edges and significant scuffing, crushing, and tearing at the corners. The box face exhibits significant scuffing, creasing, punctures, writing in pencil, and mild yellowing. The contents appear unused in the open box, with many components still bagged or attached to their original sprues. A strong representative example of a Sears-exclusive Marx military playset, this American Patrol set retains its original packaging and unused components, reflecting the scale and ambition of department-store battlefield sets from the 1960s.Heritage Auctions provides as much information as possible but strongly encourages in-person inspection.
