Monsters Inc. Needleman & Smitty Happy Meal Prototype Unproduced Figure (McDonald's, Undated). Rolling in with behind-the-scenes charm, this lot contains a hand-painted, unproduced Monsters, Inc. Needleman and Smitty prototype figure sculpted by the legendary Scott Hensey for McDonald's Happy Meal toy line. Bursting with personality, the sculpt captures the quirky duo in motion, with Smitty's horned head popping out of a container while Needleman pushes it forward on a dolly. Both characters wear bright yellow hardhats decorated with cheerful monster faces, and their green, bumpy skin adds playful texture to the design. Needleman's figure includes pinned legs, and there is visible paint rub on the bottoms of his feet from handling. Though the piece never made it to production, it offers a rare and delightful glimpse into the creative process behind one of Pixar's most memorable sidekick pairings.

Scotty Hensey has been a professional toy sculptor since the late 1970s, with early work at TOMY on lines like Tron and The Get-Along Gang.
