Released in 2016, the Lego Disney Castle set 71040 is a magnificent 4,080-piece build that brings the magic of Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World to life in brick form. Standing over 29 inches tall and 18 inches wide, this towering centerpiece captures the grandeur of the iconic landmark with ornate spires, arched windows, golden accents, and a richly detailed façade. The castle opens to reveal a series of interior rooms, each inspired by classic Disney animated films-featuring nods like a spinning wheel from Sleeping Beauty, a magic mirror and apple referencing Snow White, a mop and spell book from Fantasia, and a kitchen and dining area evoking Beauty and the Beast. The set includes five exclusive minifigures: Mickey and Minnie Mouse in formal attire, Donald and Daisy Duck, and a glittering Tinker Bell with translucent wings and wand. Designed for both display and play, the model includes hidden compartments, movable turrets, and interactive story elements built into its elaborate rooms. The iconic set remains factory sealed in its original large collector-style box featuring the castle lit against a night sky, which exhibits handling wear along the edges and corners, including creasing and scuffing. Noticeable stressing is present along the front right side of the box with creasing in the front corners. This set remains one of Lego's most celebrated tributes to Disney magic, blending architectural elegance with storytelling charm.
