Description

Hunchback of Notre Dame Model 2nd Issue Box Sealed in Original Cellophane (Aurora, 1963) This kit, showcasing the Hunchback of Notre Dame, carries the number 461-98 and is copyrighted by Universal Pictures Co., Inc. in 1963. It represents an original second issue, following the cessation of the first issue's production in 1965. The halt came after Anthony Quinn, who depicted the character in the 1956 movie, voiced concerns that the original box art closely resembled his own portrayal. Consequently, the artwork was revised to show the Hunchback with more disheveled hair. There is a 4 inch crease from the upper left corner that goes through the middle of the box. The box is still factory-sealed with its original cellophane wrapping that has light wear at the edges and the corners show some whitening. The bottom panel on the left side has a small hole. The overall condition of this Monster remains good.
