Description
Cowboys of Moo Mesa Unpainted Sample - Moo Montana with Gun (Hasbro, 1991). A year following the departure of Barnyard Commandos from TV screens and toy shelves, Cowboys from Moo Mesa emerged, introducing a similar concept with a subtle shift from the military to western theme. The Moo Montana with Gun figure was produced by Hasbro in 1991. The unpainted sample has a soft orange head which sits atop his white torso with green paints and hoofs and includes one of his trusted revolvers, molded in a teal plastic, also remains unpainted. The figure is in good condition with only one small scuff mark found on the backside of his left shoulder. This item stands out as both unique and scarce, making it a perfect addition to any collection of TMNT, Barnyard Commandos, or other playful and gross-out series from the 90s.From the collection of Mark Freedman.
Mark Freedman, the president of Surge Licensing, originally pitched the idea of licensing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird for a toy line which resulted in the deal with Playmates Toys. Mark was also responsible for licensing products from the Wild West Cowboys of Moo Mesa.
