Description

Mego Marvel Thor & Hulk - World's Greatest Super-Heroes (Mego, 1975-79). Mego's World's Greatest Super-Heroes line remains a cornerstone of comic toy history, uniting Marvel icons with the same signature 8-inch cloth-costumed style that defined the decade. Thor, the God of Thunder, appears in his winged helmet, red cape, and bright costume straight from the Silver Age, while the Hulk looms in his tattered magenta shorts, all rage and raw muscle. These figures perfectly capture Mego's genius for translating comic-book spectacle into tangible childhood heroism - mythology and might made toy-sized. Both figures remain sealed on their original blister cards, each showing moderate wear with creasing, soft corners, bending, and surface scuffing. The bubbles show mild to moderate scuffing as well; Thor's bubble has begun to yellow and is lifting along the bottom edge. The Hulk's right arm has detached at the elbow due to a broken pin, with the piece visible loose inside the bubble. Despite their flaws, both still present the vivid, unmistakable charm of Mego's original superhero run. A pairing like this evokes the height of 1970s Marvel mania - when Saturday afternoons were powered by imagination, and kids everywhere could summon gods and monsters with the turn of a dial or the crash of a toy hammer. Thor and Hulk embody two sides of the same coin: divine thunder and unstoppable fury, heroes who brought comic energy to toy aisles long before the blockbuster age. For collectors, they're not just vintage figures - they're artifacts of when superhero storytelling first leapt off the page and into our hands.
