Description

G.I. Joe Wolverine AFA Q75+ ** 2nd-Highest Grade ** (Hasbro, 1983). Released in 1983, the Wolverine expanded the growing armored vehicle lineup of the early A Real American Hero era. Armed with a rotating battery of missile launchers mounted to a compact tracked chassis, the vehicle was paired with Cover Girl. Her file card described a former fashion model turned armored vehicle specialist and mechanic, a background that helped distinguish her within the increasingly character-driven world of G.I. Joe. This example is graded AFA 75+ Q-EX+/NM, with subgrades of B75 W85 F85. The packaging features the barcode variation, and according to the AFA population report, this example ranks as the second-highest graded recorded, with only two graded higher. From the collection of Derryl DePriest. The Wolverine provided the firepower, while Cover Girl's distinctive file card and background helped make the release memorable within the rapidly expanding G.I. Joe universe.
