Description

G.I. Joe Swampfire AFA 80 NM, Pop 3 Third Highest Graded Example (Hasbro, 1986). Released in 1986, the Cobra Dreadnok Swampfire combined airboat and helicopter elements into one of the more unusual vehicle concepts of the A Real American Hero era. Assigned to the Dreadnoks, the vehicle reflected the line's increasingly imaginative approach to specialized assault and reconnaissance craft during the mid-1980s. This example has been professionally graded AFA 80 NM. The packaging features the Live the Adventure promotional offer, and according to the AFA population report, this is a Pop 3 example at the grade and ranks as the third highest graded recorded, with only two graded higher. The Swampfire remains a memorable entry in the 1986 lineup, pairing the Dreadnoks with a hybrid vehicle design unlike anything else in the vintage G.I. Joe line.
