Description

G.I. Joe Ice Cream Soldier AFA 80+ ** Only Graded Example ** (Hasbro, 1994). Released in the 1994 Series 13 Battle Corps lineup, Ice Cream Soldier is a flamethrower commando whose absurd codename is played completely straight in the file card, a specialist built for close-range incendiary assault and sustained battlefield pressure. His design leans into that role with a fully enclosed helmet and heavy gear configuration, while the bright orange and yellow palette reflects the bold, high-contrast aesthetic of the line's final year. The included arsenal, anchored by the flamethrower system, reinforces the "one-man inferno" concept described in his dossier. As part of the last retail wave of A Real American Hero, figures from this release saw limited production and shorter shelf presence, with far fewer surviving carded examples. The 13-back card with a horizontal logo places it firmly within the earlier Series 13 releases, as they would later switch to a vertical logo. AFA 80+ NM, with subgrades of C80 B85 F90. It is the only example recorded at any grade on the AFA population report. Only graded example from the final year of the line, tied to one of the strangest, most aggressive character concepts Hasbro ever put on a card. The kind of piece that shows up once, then melts back into collections.
