Description

G.I. Joe Chuckles AFA 85 ** 2nd Highest Grade, Only 1 Higher ** (Hasbro, 1987). Chuckles hit the Joe lineup in 1987 with a baby-blue Hawaiian shirt, shoulder holster, and more undercover swagger than the rest of the team combined. Officially listed as the team's undercover specialist, Chuckles was all about deep cover ops, off-book missions, and blending in where no one else could. A joe who looked as comfortable on the team as he would next to Crockett and Tubbs - a sculpt that told you everything about the mission before you even turned over the filecard. Despite never appearing in the Sunbow animated series, Chuckles built a cult following thanks to his prominent (and explosive) role in the 1987 G.I. Joe: The Movie and later in IDW's comic runs, where he was reimagined as one of the most dangerous assets on either side of the war. This 34-back example includes the "Free Fridge" mail-away offer and is graded AFA 85 NM+, with subgrades of C85 B85 F90. According to AFA population data, this figure ranks as the second highest graded example, with only one known to grade higher. Chuckles does not need sci-fi armor or ninja training - just a smile, a sidearm, and the guts to walk straight into Cobra's stronghold without backup. And this high-grade example does exactly that.
