Description

G.I. Joe Battle Force 2000 2-Pack Knockdown & Dodger AFA Y50 (Hasbro, 1988). Battle Force 2000's 1988 two-packs gave Hasbro a second format for the late-Series 6 future-combat team, pairing figures that had first appeared individually in 1987. This set brings together Knockdown, the Sky-Sweeper driver and anti-aircraft gunner, with Dodger, the Marauder driver and infantry specialist, putting air defense and armored ground assault into one Battle Force 2000 carded release. Like the rest of the team, the appeal is very late-1980s G.I. Joe, experimental vehicles, specialized operators, and a future-war concept that stood apart from the line's more conventional military units. Originating from the collection of former Hasbro executive Derryl DePriest. Graded AFA Y50 VG with subgrades of C75 B50 F80. Knockdown watched the skies, Dodger pushed the fight forward, and Battle Force 2000 made the future look like it needed heavier armor. This two-pack keeps both specialists together, ready for the next bad idea Cobra sends over the horizon.

More Information: Derryl DePriest is a longtime toy industry executive and pop culture historian who served as Vice President of Global Brand Management at Hasbro from 2001 to 2018, overseeing major initiatives for Star Wars and G.I. A lifelong G.I. Joe enthusiast and recognized liaison between Hasbro and the collector community, DePriest later authored Star Wars: The Vintage Collection Archive Edition and has contributed extensively to documenting the history of G.I. Joe. Items offered from his collection reflect the perspective of an executive who helped guide some of the most influential collector-driven brands of the modern era.
