Description

G.I. Joe Air Commandos Cloudburst AFA Y80 ** POP 4, 3rd-Highest Grade, Only 2 Graded Higher ** (Hasbro, 1991). Cloudburst serves as the G.I. Joe team's glider specialist, an aeronautics expert responsible for designing and refining the compact aircraft used in covert aerial insertion. Introduced in 1991 as part of the Air Commandos subset, he is packaged with a G.I. Joe glider built for low-profile, glide-based deployment. His role centers on improving performance through reduced drag and minimized radar signature, making him integral to the team's approach to silent entry into hostile territory. From the Derryl DePriest collection. Graded AFA Y80 NM, with subgrades of C80 B80 F85, this example ranks as the third-highest grade on the population report, with only two graded higher. Only seven examples have been graded. When the mission calls for a quiet approach, Cloudburst is already cutting through the air before the operation begins.
