G.I. Joe Adventure Team Revenge of the Spy Shark Adventure Set (Hasbro, 1975). Issued in 1975, Revenge of the Spy Shark stands as one of the most distinctive Adventure Team packs. The set combines previously released elements like the inflatable raft and Magnetic Flaw Detector-here reimagined as a sonar unit-with a unique centerpiece: the black spy shark, a scarce new variant available only in this set and regarded as the hardest-to-find component of the Adventure Team's aquatic missions. While not quite a shark with a laser beam on its head, the combination of repurposed gear with an elusive variant is exactly what makes this release so appealing to collectors today.

This example retains all original contents still attached to the card, though age has taken its toll. The bubble is yellowed, brittle, and cracked with several large holes, and the cables for the sonar unit are slipping loose. The window box shows heavy wear with deep creasing, scuffing, and surface scratching. Despite the condition, complete sets of Revenge of the Spy Shark seldom surface, particularly with the black shark intact.
