Description

G.I. Joe Adventure Team Atomic Man & Secret Mission Accessory Set (Hasbro, 1975). As the Adventure Team era embraced science fiction in the mid-1970s, Hasbro introduced its first true "superhero" Joe - Mike Power, the Atomic Man - a cyborg adventurer with flashing eye and atomic-powered limbs. This pairing features both the figure and his specialized Secret Mission gear set, marking one of the final and most imaginative chapters in the vintage 12-inch line. Atomic Man embodied the cultural fascination with bionics and technology of the era, bridging the gap between action figure realism and comic book fantasy. The Atomic Man figure remains sealed on card, which exhibits severe wear, including tearing, bending, creasing, scuffing, and softened corners. The bubble shows multiple large cracks with missing sections around the head and feet. The Secret Mission Accessory Set is unused in an open box showing heavy wear with tearing, crushing, tape residue, creasing, scuffing, and corner abrasions. The bubble is dented as well. An iconic duo from the twilight of the original G.I. Joe line, these pieces showcase Hasbro's bold leap from soldier and adventurer into the atomic age. Few figures capture the spirit of 1970s innovation and adventure as vividly as Mike Power - the man who proved that even a cyborg could still be part of the Adventure Team.
