Soaky Soap Bottles Batman, Robin, & Superman (Colgate-Palmolive, 1965-66). This three-piece grouping comprises character-shaped Soaky soap bottles produced by Colgate-Palmolive during the mid-1960s, bringing together DC's flagship heroes in novelty bath-product form. Superman dates to 1965, while Batman and Robin were released in 1966 at the height of the television show's popularity. Like other Soaky releases, the figures were molded as hollow plastic containers intended to hold liquid soap, turning ordinary bathroom packaging into bright, kid-friendly character display pieces. Superman is presented in his classic blue costume with red cape and emblem, Batman appears in the familiar grey and blue costume treatment with yellow utility belt, and Robin features a red and black colorway. All three bottles show moderate paint rub and flaking with age wear, most notably at high points. Robin shows heavier paint loss in the limbs. Batman and Superman present cleanly overall, with lighter scattered rubs and scuffs. A colorful mid-1960s DC Soaky trio with Superman, Batman, and Robin all reporting for bath-time duty, proof that even the World's Finest had to fight grime once in a while.
