Description

DC Captain Marvel Statuette Loose (Multi Products, Inc., 1945). Produced by Multi Products, Inc. in 1945, this early Captain Marvel figure stands as one of the earliest licensed superhero collectibles ever made. Crafted from a wood composition material known as "syroco," the statuette captures Fawcett's champion of magic in his signature crossed-arms pose, red costume, and gold-trimmed cape-faithfully modeled after C. C. Beck's iconic comic design. Hand-painted details add depth and texture to the figure, which bears Captain Marvel inscribed across the base and © Fawcett Pub., Inc. on the back. Condition shows typical age wear for the fragile syroco medium, including surface cracking, paint loss, and minor chipping consistent with its 1940s origin. A treasured relic from the Golden Age of comics, this piece bridges the worlds of superhero mythology and early American craftsmanship. Long before plastic capes and action figures, Captain Marvel stood proudly in this very form-a symbol of innocence, imagination, and the magic word that started it all: SHAZAM!.
