Description
DC Batman, Robin (488-98), & Batplane (487-98) Model Kits (Aurora, 1966-74). This trio of factory-sealed Aurora model kits features three of Gotham's greatest assets from the golden age of superhero modeling. The lot includes Batman (Comic Scenes, 1974), Robin the Boy Wonder (1966), and the Batplane (1966), each sealed in original cellophane and boasting classic box art that defined superhero shelf appeal for generations of collectors. The Batman Comic Scenes kit from 1974 is sealed with a small hole in the cellophane at the bottom left corner. There is mild compression to the top and bottom panels, likely due to the tightness of the wrap, which has caused some bulging and light surface creasing. The Batplane kit from 1966 has loose but intact cellophane, with veining visible near the edges of the front panel and a large crease in the lower left corner of the back panel. Despite the looseness of the wrap, the box retains strong shape and color. The Robin kit, also from 1966, likewise has loose but intact cellophane and shows moderate crushing to the lower left corners of the box, softening that area but still presenting well overall.
Whether you're building a Batman-themed display or collecting sealed examples from Aurora's legendary 1960s superhero output, this grouping offers a rare opportunity to secure three cornerstone kits in original factory-sealed condition. The bold pop-art packaging, Silver Age charm, and DC pedigree make these perfect for fans of vintage comics, model kit history, or classic toy design. Aurora's superhero line helped define what licensed comic character merchandise could look like-and these sealed survivors are ready to bring that legacy to your collection.
