Description

DC Batman Collectibles Lot of 5 Featuring Periscopes, Banks, & More (various, 1974-77). This curious collection of vintage Bat-merch captures the quirky creativity of the 1970s toy landscape, where licensed oddities met imaginative design. Included are two unique periscopes: the colorful Batman and Robin Periscope from Winner Promotions Ltd. (1974), and the sleek, all-black Batman Scope by Park Plastics, a telescoping viewer with bold embossed logos and functional mirrors that was offered as a Kellogg's cereal premium. From Transogram comes a 20" Batman vinyl bank, proudly American-made with a vibrant blue-and-gray paint scheme and a heavily shelf-worn base label. Also included is a 1974 Penguin bank from Mego, featuring a comically smug sculpt with molded tuxedo and top hat. Rounding out the lot is a battery-operated Batman Lantern by Azrak-Hamway Intl. (AHI No. 5781, 1977), showcasing a stylized blue-and-grey Caped Crusader pose molded around a tiny light source.

Condition varies across the lot. All items have been used and display reasonable wear from use and age. The Penguin bank shows general surface wear, while the Transogram bank has significant paint scuffing and a worn front label. The AHI lantern is untested and beginning to yellow in places, and the Batman Scope has light plastic aging but remains complete and functional. See images for further condition details. Items are sold as is. Whether you are building a shrine to Gotham's weirder relics or just love a good Bat-novelty, this is a treasure trove of vintage crimefighting kitsch. These pieces speak to a time when Batman branding knew no bounds - from lanterns to periscopes to unapologetically oddball banks. With bold colors, eccentric sculpts, and unmistakable 1970s flair, they capture the DIY spirit of early superhero merchandising. It's a Bat-time capsule, and the signal's calling.
