Batman Tin Robot with Original English Box (Nomura, 1966). An iconic fusion of superhero flair and vintage tin toy charm, this 1966 Batman Robot by Nomura captures the imaginative spirit of the era in spectacular form. Standing an impressive 12.5 inches tall, this battery-operated robot is constructed from lithographed tin, complete with a vinyl head, a cloth cape featuring the Batman logo, and the sought-after "red switch" belt variation used to activate its walking and head-lighting features (untested). One of two known styles, this version showcases Batman with a straight-mouthed, stoic expression, adding to its distinct appearance. The battery compartment is fairly clean, with only minimal rusting visible in the lower corners, suggesting careful storage over the decades. The figure comes with the original English version box, which features an offbeat illustration of an Adam West-style Batman holding a revolver-a curious detail never seen in the classic TV show. The robot remains in beautiful condition, displaying surface wear including scratching, paint loss on the cowl, ears, and feet, and staining to the cape. The box, while structurally sound, shows significant wear with heavy creasing, tears, dents, and tape reinforcement inside the lid to help maintain its shape. A standout from the golden age of Batman collectibles, blending Japanese craftsmanship with Gotham nostalgia.
