Batman Bat-Bomb Cap-Firing Toy (Mattel, 1966). Crashing into the scene with all the explosive flair of 1960s Batmania, this vintage Bat-Bomb cap-firing toy was released by Mattel in 1966, right when Adam West's Batman had the world glued to their TVs and kids dreaming in "BAM!" and "KAPOW!" The Bat-Bomb delivered on that promise-designed as a blue, bat-winged grenade-style toy that could fire off 50 cap blasts without reloading. Just hurl it, and blam!-a cap pops on impact, then it resets, ready to strike again. This example remains attached to its original red card back, a bold visual straight from the pop-art world of Gotham, though it shows expected signs of age. There's creasing in the upper left and lower corners, and the bubble is loosely attached, partially lifting in the upper corners with wear along the edges. Despite that, the piece retains its vintage charm and stands as a thrilling reminder of how Mattel channeled the kinetic energy of the Batman craze into one of the most memorable superhero toys of the era.
