Description

Batcycle (810-100) Model Kit AFA 85 ** POP 1, 2nd Highest Grade, Only 1 Higher ** (Aurora, 1967). Aurora's superhero model kits were a cornerstone of 1960s comic culture, translating the excitement of DC's icons into buildable, displayable form. The Batcycle, released in 1967 at the height of Batman's television popularity, captured the sleek design of the Caped Crusader's famous ride, complete with Batman and Robin figures in scale. With its bold box art and instantly recognizable subject, the Batcycle has long stood as one of the most sought-after kits in Aurora's superhero line.

Graded AFA 85 NM+, this example represents exceptional preservation. According to the AFA Population Report, it is the sole copy documented at this level, ranking as the second-highest graded with only one known in higher grade. For collectors of Aurora kits, DC memorabilia, or vintage superhero history, the Batcycle model bridges pop culture and hobby artistry. It is a rare opportunity to own one of the finest surviving examples of a kit that embodies the Silver Age superhero boom and the enduring charm of Aurora's craftsmanship.
