Description

G.I. Joe Special Mission: Brazil TRU Exclusive 5-Figure Pack with Cassette Tape AFA 70 (Hasbro, 1986). Released in 1986 as a Toys "R" Us exclusive, the Special Mission: Brazil set stands as one of the more ambitious and memorable boxed offerings of the A Real American Hero line, combining a multi-figure team with a narrative-driven audio component. Anchored by Claymore, the set includes Dial-Tone v2, Leatherneck v2, Mainframe v2, and Wet-Suit v2, each reworked in a new color scheme to reflect their inclusion in this exclusive set. This unique presentation, paired with exclusive character selections, gives the set a distinct identity within the broader Series 5 lineup. Enhancing the experience is the included cassette tape, which tells the story of the team's mission in Brazil, while the reverse side was intentionally left blank to allow for custom-recorded adventures, an interactive feature that reflects Hasbro's experimentation with multimedia play during the mid-1980s. From the collection of former Hasbro executive Derryl DePriest. Graded AFA 70 EX+ with subgrades of B70 W75 F85. A memorable Toys "R" Us exclusive, this Special Mission: Brazil set combines character variants, boxed-set exclusivity, and an integrated audio adventure, offering collectors one of the more unusual and imaginative specialty releases from the vintage G.I. Joe line.
