Description

G.I. Joe CHIK (Cobra Hunter Integrated Killer) Unproduced Vehicle Color Presentation Art (Hasbro, 1985). This color presentation art depicts CHIK, or Cobra Hunter Integrated Killer, an unproduced G.I. Joe vehicle concept dated 8/5/85 and drawn by Ron Rudat. The design shows a tall two-legged walking combat vehicle with cockpit canopy, nose cannon, mechanical legs, exterior cabling, and a uniformed operator figure presented beside it for scale, giving the concept a strong mid-1980s experimental armor profile. Presentation art was used after rough concept approval to show Hasbro executives and retail buyers a more developed view of a proposed toy before it received final production approval or was abandoned. This example combines hand-drawn artwork with affixed printed elements, including the G.I. Joe logo and CHIK lettering, and measures approximately 14.25" x 11.25". From the collection of Chris Murray. As an unproduced Ron Rudat vehicle concept from the heart of the ARAH development era, this CHIK presentation art documents a road not taken, a fully pitched Cobra-hunting machine that advanced far enough to receive finished color treatment, branding, and executive-facing presentation.

More Information: The artwork displays creasing, flaking to the applied lettering, corner crushing, and tears to the black masking-tape border.
