Marilyn Monroe's Something's Got to Give Promptbook (1961). A 32-page carbon typescript bound in black paper wrappers with a typewritten label reading "Marilyn Monroe/'Something's Got to Give' " on the front cover. This was Monroe's personal copy, with her handwritten notations in pencil on 11 pages.
One of the most infamous unfinished films in history, this remake of My Favorite Wife (1940) paired a struggling Monroe with explosive director George Cukor. Monroe was in poor health when filming started, suffering from a bout of sinusitis and recent gallbladder surgery, and missed 17 of her 30 scheduled shooting days. This led to her being fired from the picture, the footage (which included a notorious skinny-dipping scene) being shelved, and the project being canceled. Monroe died two months later. The book measures 9" x 7.25" and is in Very Fine to Excellent condition with mild toning to the pages.
