Description

Nolan Miller's Limited Edition Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud. Costume designer Nolan Miller's designs for the primetime soap opera Dynasty influenced couture throughout the '80s, and earned numerous awards and accolades (including four Emmy nominations) in the process. At the height of the show's popularity (roughly 50 million viewers), Miller was receiving almost as much mail as the stars, and he was the highest paid costumer in Hollywood. For a bonus one year, producer Aaron Spelling and his wife surprised Miller with this eye-turning 1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud III.
Miller often chauffeured his celebrity friends and colleagues in his prized dream car, which has since become a symbol for the man and the Hollywood glamour he helped mold and shape. Passengers included Spelling, Barbara Stanwyck, Sophia Loren, Joan Collins, Linda Evans, Lana Turner, and Joan Crawford -- many of whom he drove to various awards ceremonies and red carpet events. In 1999, the QVC program Extreme Shopping Hollywood offered a $15,000 Dynasty package that included a trip to L.A., clothes and jewelry designed by Miller, consultation with him, and -- rounding off a full Nolan Miller experience quite nicely -- car service in the form of his prized Rolls.
This stately automobile is one of roughly 200 that were made, and features a V-8 engine and odometer with a mere 62,500 miles on it. The car has been maintained and detailed consistently by a specialized mechanic and is in outstanding condition. Currently in California, the Rolls-Royce will require third-party shipping.
