A writer, publisher and widely cited
media expert in the field of music, Pete Howard
started off as a professional disc
jockey before moving on to an executive role with CBS
Records for several years. He later
headed up the radio syndication firm that created
Earth News and Country News before
founding, owning, publishing and editing ICE
magazine, which became possibly the
finest source of CD news in the world for 19
years. Also, a Contributing Editor
for Rolling Stone magazine from 1988-1995 with a
regular CD News column for their
Record Review section, Pete additionally penned
Goldmine magazine’s 22,000-word cover story on collectible music
posters in 1995. Along with planning a coffee-table
book on the history of the American concert poster
from 1920-1970, he is the only
person in the world with a serious, comprehensive
(4,000+) collection of rare
concert-poster images from this time period. Artifacts from
Pete’s personal collection have been
displayed in eight different museums around the
world, including New York, Los
Angeles, Paris and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
and Museum in Cleveland. He also
once built and possessed the world’s best Bob Dylan
record collection. Pete joined our Entertainment and Music Memorabilia department in 2019 as a Consignment Director.

Before joining Heritage Auctions as an intern in 2013, Aaron
Piscopo was exposed to musical instruments throughout his life. He graduated
from Stephen F. Austin with a degree in History prior to his hiring at
Heritage, where he eventually worked his way up to a position managing the
company’s wine warehouse and logistics for its Los Angeles based wine operations. Native
Texan Piscopo moved back to the world headquarters in Dallas in 2017, assuming
his current role as Director of Vintage Guitars & Musical
Instruments. An active musician for 20+ years, he enjoys traveling
to guitar shows across the country in search of interested consignors and
bidders alike.
