Margaret Barrett, a California native who graduated from UCLA with a B.A. degree in Art History, joined Heritage Auctions in 2011 after working as an Entertainment Memorabilia Specialist at various auction houses for a number of years.  She served as a Specialist at Butterfield & Butterfield in Los Angeles, as an Assistant Vice President & Head of the Popular Arts Department at Christie’s in New York, as a consultant to Julien’s Auctions in Los Angeles, and as the Director of Entertainment Memorabilia at Bonhams in Los Angeles. Notable collections that she has worked on include The Estate of John Wayne, The Estate of Orson Welles, The Estate of Marilyn Monroe, The Estate of Steve McQueen, The Estate of Bette Davis, The Estate of James Stewart, The Estate of Jennifer Jones, The Estate of Raymond Burr, The Estate of Farrah Fawcett, The Estate of José Ferrer, The Ramrod Shurtliff Collection of Grateful Dead Memorabilia, The Private World of Truman Capote, The Personal Property of Ernest Borgnine, The Estate of Mae West, and The Herb Bridges “Gone with the Wind” Auction for which she was awarded a key to the city by the mayor of Jonesboro, Georgia --  hometown of “Gone with the Wind” author, Margaret Mitchell.

Mike is one of the foremost sports autograph authenticators in the sports memorabilia business and most serious buyers require his approval before purchasing autographs for their personal collections. He has more than 26 years’ experience and is one of the few universally respected authorities left standing in a field racked with fraud and forgeries. Mike has authenticated and appraised some of the finest material in the hobby including the Historic Barry Halper Collection, the Mark McGwire 70th Home Run Baseball, the Bruce Lee Estate, the Pete Rozelle Estate, and the Muhammad Ali Estate of Sports Memorabilia. He is also a world class expert in guitars and music memorabilia.

After a stint in the corporate world, Garry Shrum started his own successful record store, Blue Meanie Records, in 1976, and he's been immersed in records, tapes and CDs ever since. Attending many record shows in the United States and Europe over the years, he has become an expert on imports, especially those of the 1960s. He has been providing expertise for Heritage's Music & Entertainment Auctions since 2004.

Jim Steele gleaned his expertise and encyclopedic knowledge of comic books the old-fashioned way - he worked the comic convention circuit as a dealer for over 20 years while owning a collectibles bookstore. The years in the collectibles trenches paid off in 2002 when he joined Heritage, and by 2003 he had become Chief Cataloger for the Comics & Comic Art Division. Jim has also been an integral part of Heritage's Entertainment & Music auctions and has spearheaded two Ultimate Elvis auctions since 2010.

Giles Moon has more than 25 years of experience in the auction industry.  Prior to Heritage, Giles was at Christie’s, South Kensington, London for 9 years:  first in the Antiquarian Book Department and later in the Popular Entertainment Department specializing in rock & roll and movie memorabilia.  Following Christie’s, Giles served as Associate Director of Rock & Roll at Sotheby’s London and then Assistant Vice President of Collectibles at Sotheby's New York. In 2002, Giles moved to Australia to head the newly formed Collectibles Department at Bonhams & Goodman, Sydney and held the same role for Leonard Joel in Melbourne before relocating to San Francisco in 2016. Giles has expertise in a wide range of collecting fields including rock, movie, sporting, and historical memorabilia; vintage toys and classic radios; film and advertising posters.
