Description

Three Small Carrying Cases, 1960s-1970s. The first made of tan leather with green and red fabric stripes in center, oblong in shape, maker's stamp on zipper reads "Gucci," monogram of "P.W." [Pilar Wayne] embossed on top side, original lining replaced, leather tag affixed to handle displays one of Wayne's autograph cards, inside bag has contents left there by Wayne (who evidently borrowed his wife's bag) including a deck of cards, a bottle of Vitamin C, bars of men's soap, a tape measure, and a number of autograph cards, plus a few other items; the second made of black vinyl, stamped "The Peninsula / Hong Kong" on either side, inside has contents left there by Wayne including mouth wash, a bandanna, a deck of cards, a flashlight, hand cream, and receipts from the hotel; the third made of brown leather, inside tag reads "Special Sports / Equipment / Gokey / St. Paul, Minn.," appearing to be a fish tackle bag. (Please note all bags are well worn and somewhat stained due to use.)
