Description

O-Jays "Back Stabbers" RIAA White Mat Gold Record Sales Award (Philadelphia International ZS7 3517, 1972). The title song from their breakthrough album, topped out at Number Three on the Pop charts. It was later used in the soundtrack to the movie Looking for Mr. Goodbar. According to the plaque beneath the gold disc, this award was "Presented to Granville White to Commemorate the Sale of More Than One Million Copies of the Philadelphia International Records Pop Single Record 'Back Stabbers'". Framed in gold-trimmed walnut to an overall 13" x 17". Minor dampstaining at bottom, overall Very Fine condition. From the David Gest Memorabilia Archive.
