Description

The Honeymooners (CBS TV, 1955-1956), Madame Alexander Doll Set. Manufactured exclusively for FAO Schwartz as an edition of 2,000 sets for one year only in 1997, this wonderful toy doll set depicts the four central characters of the beloved sitcom series The Honeymooners ) with a rich, vintage feeling that captures the essence of the period in which they flourished on television screens across America. This original (4) piece complete set includes 7" silicone-blend dolls for Ralph Kramden, Ed Norton, Alice Kramden, and Trixie Norton (as depicted on screen by Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, Audrey Meadows, and Joyce Randolph, respectively), with each dressed in highly-detailed, expertly crafted polyblend versions of their signature outfits. Dolls are complete with detailed accessories like punched-in hair, miniature shoes and belts, studio-finished facial details, posable limbs, and functional painted eyes that open and close as the doll is moved. In addition, a series of whimsical miniature hand props accompany each doll, including a rotary phone, oversized porkpie hat, feather duster, watering can, and whisk. Dolls appear in wonderful condition in their original decorative Madame Alexander packaging and gift wrap, stamped to side "Honeymooners Set" "79230", and with hand props intact and unopened alongside Madame Alexander pamphlets and literature that accompanied sale of the dolls. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From The Stewart Berkowitz Television Treasures Collection.
