Description

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. TV Action Figure Bazooka & Arsenal Sets (Gilbert, 1965). Issued during the height of America's 1960s spy craze, these boxed accessory sets expanded A.C. Gilbert's Man from U.N.C.L.E. line with Cold War gadgetry designed for Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin. The lot includes the TV Action Figure Apparel Set, featuring a gray U.N.C.L.E.-labeled jacket, bazooka with shells, binoculars, and cardboard target silhouettes, along with the TV Action Figure Accessory Set, containing a cap-firing Tommy gun, pistol, bazooka, and a sniper rifle. Each remains sealed to its factory insert tray, with vivid graphics that evoke the sleek espionage style of the era. Overall condition shows heavy wear across both packages. Edges display significant scuffing, while corners exhibit moderate crushing and creasing. Surfaces show heavy wear, including tearing that has opened one box at the top, along with scuffing, veining, and areas of tape lift, leaving visible residue. The windows show mild scuffing but remain intact, and both items, though the boxes are open, remain factory sealed on their interior trays. Among the rarest surviving components of Gilbert's ambitious U.N.C.L.E. toy program, these sets reflect the blend of adventure, sophistication, and intrigue that defined the television series - a nostalgic homage to mid-century spycraft in toy form.
