Description
"Listen Sammy, I'm not a very good shot, but the Samaritan here uses really big bullets."
Hellboy (Columbia, 2004), Samaritan Lightning
Loader and Set of (4) "Special" 22mm Bullets. Of all the
handcrafted props that populate Hellboy's (Ron Perlman) macabre
steampunk world, few are as iconic as his signature sidearm, the
Samaritan, and the specialized ammunition he uses to combat
supernatural threats. Offered here is a production-aged Lightning
Loader, crafted from distressed pot metal and fitted with 4- dense
resin dummy rounds measuring approx. 3" x 2", each housed in a
quick-release casing for rapid loading into the oversized revolver.
Also included are (4) custom oversized bullets: 2- hand-tooled
2.25" x 1" brass rounds with lead tips, faux primers, and etched
markings reading "BPRD," "22mm," and a stylized mystical symbol
resembling the initials "DT"-possibly a tongue-in-cheek nod to
director del Toro. The remaining 2- bullets measure 2.5" x 1" and
feature brass and polished/painted aluminum projectiles resembling
silver, with stamped collars likely intended for use against
vampires or other lycanthropic creatures. These props appear during
Hellboy's first combat sequence at the museum, where he battles the
demon Sammael. All components exhibit intentional distressing,
production wear, tarnishing, and adhesive residue from use on set.
Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions. From the
