Description
Black Gaucho Dress-Up Sets Open Case of 36 (Nadel & Sons, 1960s). This open case contains 36 Black Gaucho Dress-Up Sets produced by Nadel & Sons Toy Corp. during the 1960s. Each individually carded and cellophane-sealed set includes a plastic dagger, black molded eye mask, braided whip, and braided lariat. The card artwork features a mounted rider and component callouts printed directly on the insert, reflecting mid-century Western hero styling and masked rider iconography popular at the time, namely Zorro. The outer case shows moderate wear, including scuffing and dents along the edges and moderate scuffing and crushing at the corners. The box surfaces exhibit moderate scuffing and creasing. The case is open, but all 36 costume sets remain sealed beneath factory cellophane. The cardbacks have curled and warped beneath the cello over time. A complete case example of a 1960s Western-themed dress-up line, this grouping preserves the original retail quantity and sealed presentation of Nadel & Sons' Black Gaucho accessory program.Heritage Auctions provides detailed information when available but strongly encourages in-person inspection.
