DC Mechanical Superman Turnover Tank Tin Toy with Original Box (Linemar, 1950s). Produced in Japan by Linemar under license from National Comics Publications, this Mechanical Superman Turnover Tank is one of the most recognizable Superman tin toys of the postwar era. The wind-up M-25 tank flips over as Superman "lifts" it from below-a perfect marriage of mechanical novelty and comic-book heroism. With vivid lithographed graphics and classic Linemar engineering, it stands as a shining example of 1950s Japanese craftsmanship meeting American pop culture.
