G.I. Joe Adventure Team Land Adventurer with Original Box & Thermal Terrain Scanner (Hasbro, 1970-73). This classic Adventure Team lot from the early 1970s pairs the rugged Land Adventurer figure with one of the most visually dynamic accessory sets in the line-the Thermal Terrain Scanner. Introduced during Hasbro's pivot from military themes to globe-trotting exploration, the Land Adventurer-with his signature flocked hair and beard-became a staple of the G.I. Joe brand's second era, embodying the Adventure Team generation's spirit of adventure and danger. The Land Adventurer figure is housed in its original box, which shows significant wear. The figure itself is complete but exhibits moderate facial wear and is missing the original AT dog tag. However, the included membership mail-in form and boot removal instructions are present and in good condition. The box has sustained heavy overall damage, with waviness on the top and left panels, severe edge and corner wear, and heavy surface scuffing and creasing, including a surface tear at the lower right corner.

The Thermal Terrain Scanner remains affixed to its original backing card, though the bottom of the bubble has detached and is held in place with a small white label acting as tape. The card displays moderate waviness, edge wear, and heavy corner wear with soft edges and a tear at the upper right hanger hole. Surface damage is substantial, with creasing, sticker residue, and multiple surface tears. The bubble is heavily scuffed and also bears sticker residue, but retains most of its form. Despite the evident condition issues, this lot remains a strong representation of the early Adventure Team era and features two classic components from one of Hasbro's most creatively ambitious product lines. Ideal for collectors focused on vintage packaging variants, early 1970s G.I. Joe history, or restoration-ready display projects.
