Issued by Topps in 1966, the Batman Series B - better known as the Blue Bat Puzzle Back set - was the third release in the wildly popular Topps Batman trading card run that year. Like its predecessors, it features stunning original artwork by legendary illustrator Norm Saunders, who painted vivid, comic-style scenes of Batman and Robin in perilous battles against a colorful cast of villains including The Joker, The Penguin, Catwoman, and The Riddler. Each card showcases an exciting full-color image framed by a bright blue bat logo, while the reverse sides contain either short story text or sections of a large puzzle image that can be assembled to form a dynamic Batman scene.
