Grateful Dead 1984 Berkeley, CA "Pharaoh" Concert Poster Designed by Rick Griffin. An original concert poster created by Rick Griffin for the Grateful Dead's six-night stand at the Berkeley Community Center (Theatre) in Berkeley, California on October 27 thru November 3, 1984. Nicknamed "Pharaoh," this design found Griffin combining the band's popular "Steal Your Face" graphic with that of a Sphinx.

Heritage has auctioned off a limited-edition art print of this poster before, signed and numbered by Rick Griffin himself, but this is the very first time we've ever offered the regular concert poster.

Printed on double-sided thick, glossy card stock, this poster measures 18" x 23" and grades to Very Good condition. In the lower left corner there's a 1 ¼" vertical corner crease that breaks the black color. The upper left corner has a ½" diagonal corner crease which also breaks the black. The poster's lower right edge has some light crumpling, which shows some white. And the poster's upper right edge, while not breaking the black much, does have about 5" of edge bumping.
