Description

Barry Manilow Worn Embellished Sweater from BBC Special (1978). Original blue and metallic silver knit V-neck sweater with internal satin lining and round and star-shaped clear rhinestones embellishing the chest, back, and sleeves. An off-white satin peaked collar is sewn into the sweater, except for one section that attaches to the left chest with Velcro. The sweater contains a Velcro closure that runs up the left side of the neckline and down the back seam for ease of costume changes during performances. Worn by Barry Manilow during his BBC Special in 1978. Exhibits wear and age, including heavy staining on the collar. Provenance: From the collection of producer Paul Brownstein who served as Barry Manilow's assistant from 1978-1981. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
