Hannibal (MGM, 2001), Gary Oldman "Mason Verger" Sunbathing Costume Ensemble. Original (7) piece costume ensemble including (1) beige wool cable-knit sweater, (1) blue cotton long-sleeved shirt with white stripe pattern, white collar, and white button closure, retaining handwritten "DJ" in black marker on internal bias label, (1) pair of wool trousers with front zipper and button closure, (1) tan nylon cap with green border along the visor and a quick release buckle on the back, (1) pair of brown suede leather gloves, (1) black tie with green floral jacquard pattern, and (1) pair of black leather shoes. In the sequel to Jonathan Demme's influential Silence of the Lambs (Orion, 1991), Hannibal Lector (Anthony Hopkins) is back and his victims want revenge, primarily Mason Verger (Gary Oldman), who was permanently disfigured by Hannibal. This ensemble appears in a moment of levity as Mason sunbathes on his terrace. Items exhibit production age and handling, overall presenting well. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
