The Bounty (Dino De Laurentiis, 1984), "The Bounty" Large Scale Model Ship. Original ship crafted from wood, metal, rope, canvas, and mixed media. Professionally designed and painted to emulate the $4 million-dollar Bounty replica created for the film on a slightly smaller scale (yet still over 25 feet long.). The impressive recreation was also designed to conform to the exterior design of William Bligh's ship and features accurate representations of mizzen mast, main mast, foremast and shrouds - which are tied to chain plates that surround the hull. The upper deck contains 6-support beams from stern to stem with 3-metal rods added for display purposes. The design culminates with the dynamic jibboom that juts out at the bow. The large miniature measures approx. 170" (from the top of the foremast to the bottom of the hull) is 310" long and 102" wide. Exhibits production wear, some damage to the hull and upper deck, staining on canvas sails, rope and mast damage, paint discoloration, and missing components. Due to the extreme size, special third-party shipping arrangements will apply. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
