Star Trek: The Next Generation (Paramount, 1987-1994), Rick Sternbach Original Concept Artwork for Personal Access Display Devices. Original group of (7) concept artworks on artist's leaf by Rick Sternbach for designs of Personal Access Display Devices, with (4) 8.5" x 11", (2) 8.5" x 11.5", and (1) 17" x 11". Consisting of 2-designs for the Tricorder scanning device, 3-Viewscreens for Capt. Riker's (Jonathan Frakes) suite, and 2-PADD designs. Small leaves accomplished with multi-colored felt-tip, pen, and computer-generated elements, with larger leaf done in pen over computer-generated rendering. Designs are labeled accordingly and contain specification notes, with all signed by Sternbach and majority dated from March 23 and 24, 1987. Dates indicate Sternbach's involvement at the earliest stages of production on the new series, for which he was selected to redesign and update the Star Trek universe. Items exhibiting signs of handling and age, including foxing, bumped and curled corners, and stray marks and white-outs from illustrating process. Comes with a COA from Heritage Auctions.
