BG-227 Grateful Dead, Miles Davis 1970 Fillmore West Concert Poster Graded 9.2. First-printing San Francisco concert poster for the Grateful Dead, the Miles Davis Quintet and Glasgow, Scotland's Stone the Crows playing at the Fillmore West on Thursday thru Sunday nights, April 9-12, 1970. Designed by David Singer and known as BG-227 in the Bill Graham numbered series, this poster was graded 9.2 Near Mint Minus by CGC (the Certified Guaranty Company). Measures 14" x 21". More Information: The thought of seeing both the Dead and Miles Davis together in concert is enough to make any music lover swoon. According to Grateful Dead: The Illustrated Trip(DK Publishing, 2003, co-authored by Dennis McNally), "Miles Davis and his acclaimed Bitches Brew band was, to put it mildly, a hard act to follow. The master of cool was mating rock with jazz to create 'fusion.' Following Miles was nerve-wracking, but the Dead acquitted themselves well. And Miles and Jerry Garcia hit it off personally."
