Description
Gilligan's Island (CBS TV, 1964-1967), Tina Louise "Ginger Grant" Evening Gown. Vintage original (1) piece floor-length sleeveless creamsicle-orange colored silk and crepe sheath gown worn by Ginger Grant (Tina Louise) in Gilligan's Island, with front and back V-neckline, hidden hook-and-eye bra strap strips, moderate slit along right leg, and embellished all over with twisty patterns and dangling loops of colorless bugle beads and upper area with aurora borealis teardrop crystals. Interior lined with vivid orange silk, with 2- bust stays and horizontal length of peach grosgrain ribbon with hook-and-eye closure at waist and zipper back closure. Ginger can be seen wearing this dress in Season 3, Episode 15, "Gilligan Goes Gung Go", when Gilligan believes he sees Ginger shooting the Professor (Russell Johnson), though in reality, Ginger, the Professor, and Mary Ann (Dawn Wells) were just rehearsing a murder scene from a play. Dress exhibits production wear and age including some soiling at hem, some missing beadwork, and color-fading from prior display. Lot also includes assorted costume jewelry including a white boa, a pair of orange heels, a white brassiere, tights, and wig for display purposes.
